Privacy
What happens to the details you send us, in plain terms. It is a short page because we do very little with them.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, your phone number, your email address, which kind of work you need, and whatever you write in the message box. Nothing else, and none of it is compulsory beyond the fields marked as required.
What we do with it
We use it to answer your enquiry. That is the whole purpose. If your enquiry turns into a job, the same details become the contact record for that job.
We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for marketing. You will not be added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
Where it goes
The form is handled by Web3Forms, which takes the submission and emails it to us. It passes through their systems on the way. This website itself stores nothing: it is a set of static pages with no database behind it, so there is no copy of your enquiry sitting on the site.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, their servers log requests, which includes IP addresses, as part of running and protecting the service.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking scripts. Cloudflare may set cookies for security reasons as part of hosting it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries live in an email inbox, and job records are kept as long as we need them for the work and for the usual business and tax reasons. If you asked us about a job that never went ahead and you would rather we did not keep the enquiry, say so and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Ring and ask. We are a small business, not a call centre, and there is no process to go through.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and the form submits over an encrypted connection. No system is perfect, and we are not going to claim otherwise.
Changes to this page
If we change what we collect or what we do with it, this page changes at the same time, and the date at the top changes with it.
